Stella James Vetrimaran.

Not TV or Film this one but this individual, Stella James Vetrimaran, has been posting “jobs” on industry pages so a warning worth issuing. Although having said that, as con artists go, she leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to sophistication.

The adverts, which “Stella” has been vomiting up all over Facebook, offer “Highly paid jobs, No Experience Required” for “Males Age 20 to 70, Females Age 20 to 70, Kids Age 1 to 12, Teen Boys/Girls Age 13 to 19” (and no doubt anyone else who might not be covered by those categories and who has money that they would like to shovel over to a complete stranger).

If your SpideySenses weren’t already quivering and that inner voice wasn’t already screaming the words “A CON, FOR CHRIST’S SAKE RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!” loudly into your ear then the photo of her “family” on her profile (complete with Shutterstock copyright watermark) might do the trick. Or even the follow up message to interested parties where she promises that the work is paid “between £10K to £25K per project” and, to get access to these wonderful opportunities, you have to cough up an upfront fee for the chance to go on the books (Hurry, hurry, only accepting 10 people a day - only two left!). The links she sends for payment is to an agency apparently called Yazhi Media.

The law is quite clear about whether modelling agencies can legitimately charge upfront fees (Spoiler Alert, they can’t, it is very illegal). But even if it weren’t, this witless individual is clearly one to avoid, for no better reason than this kind of utter brainlessness might be a transmissible disease and, after a couple of years of Covid, no-one wants to risk that kind of thing.

In essence then; Stella James Vetrimaran - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
