Johann Bekker 111. A wedding video maker to avoid.

We don’t usually feature wedding video makers on here, that part of the industry not being within the mainstream TV or film business. But an exception can certainly be made for one particular individual: Johann Bekker III.

Up until recently Bekker was working out of South Africa making videos and doing photography for couples’ biggest day but he has now apparently travelled to these shores and may be seeking work here some time soon (possibly in Bromley, Kent).

If his behaviour in his home country is anything to go by however, this is one con artist you would be very wise to avoid using, employing or loaning kit to. Reason is that he has developed quite a reputation for taking the money and running, leaving not-so-happy couples with no video or pictorial record of their big day and then refusing to respond to questions about what has happened.

It goes without saying that this kind of behaviour ranks about as low as it gets in that industry, it being impossible (obviously) to make good once the day has been and gone. Whether he intends to continue in this line of work, or set himself up in any other line of business (or employment) it would be very good if those who come across him would ask what he intends to do about the deep unhappiness he has spread as a result of his revolting business practices.
