This is a one-day live online training session designed for freelance VFX professionals in the UK working in, or aiming for, the high-end TV sector. Delivered by ScreenSkills in partnership with Soho Editors, it blends creative and technical content with governance, rights and ethics.

It covers foundational AI-concepts (ML, GANs, diffusion models, etc), how AI integrates into VFX workflows (image generation, video augmentation, shot clean-up, background creation), real-world case studies, and hands-on practice with tools (including a licence with tokens). It also addresses legal, IP and delivery issues in the VFX pipeline, giving participants a forward-looking perspective on opportunities and responsibilities.

Ideal for freelancers with at least one HETV credit or at least one broadcast credit and want to use the training to get into HETV, resident and work-eligible in the UK, across early to expert career stages.

The AI Shift for Post in High-End TV

Similarly structured as a one-day live online course, this training is tailored for UK freelance post-production professionals in the high-end TV space. Also delivered by ScreenSkills and Soho Editors, it focuses on how AI is reshaping post-production workflows — from editorial support, versioning, localisation, subtitling & accessibility, to delivery compliance.

Modules cover AI foundations and terminology, workflow & creative applications relevant to post, and compliance/ethics with broadcaster standards (copyright, IP, AI usage disclosure, UK/EU regulations). Participants get hands-on experience with select AI tools, a group exercise and a licence with tokens.

The programme is aimed at freelancers with at least one HETV credit or at least one broadcast credit and want to use the training to get into HETV, resident in the UK, at an early to expert career stage.
