Craig Quinn. Fade to Blood Films.
Working for nothing on someone else’s feature film is usually a pretty grim experience for those who take part. Not only through the lack of remuneration, but also because the film itself is usually pretty crap and that, when a company doesn’t have the money to pay its actors or crew, there are usually a whole host of other trifling matters they don’t bother to address either (Health and Safety, safe and reasonable working hours, insurances blah blah blah).
Not content with not paying the cast and crew, Craig Quinn (Fade to Blood Films) has managed to go one stage further though, by failing to even pay the expenses he promised to cover that one freelancer incurred while helping out on his film, ”Cancelled”.
When asked why he didn’t do the right thing and cover these, Quinn could not, or would not, offer either reason or explanation, content to hold out and force the freelancer in question to make a legal claim for her money back.
A warning then, if this particular individual should come around begging for some free work on his next project, do make sure you either get your expenses in advance, or use the universally understood two fingered symbol for No-thank-you-very-much.
